Full Range Open Baffle Speakers

I don't want to invest too much in drivers initially as I'm not sure exactly how they will sound and I don't want a couple of boxes lying in the cupboard gathering dust for the next few years. So, I may be asking the impossible but. Could anyone suggest some high efficiency full range drivers that I could pick up at reasonable cost - just to get a taste.? Or - if you use an Open Baffle yourself - what drivers are you happily listening to.? I would suggest SABA Greencones. Buy a set of the mids and tweeters: (rather more than I expected, especially for postage - might be worth contacting the seller direct, I will have his details somewhere).

You could just nail the mid to a plank to see what it's like, although I would recommend soon using the tweeter and adding an Eminence Alpha 15' (about £100 a pair), as you need big for the bass in OB. Then you have a pair of Lampizator P17s:.

I have probably the full range of XO components that you need, which you could have at a minimal price, and I could also suggest ways to make them a bit more room-friendly. You then have some 95dB/W speakers that sound great.

But just start by nailing the mid to a plank. The highs won't be that refined, and there will be sod all bass, but it will give you a good taste. And you could sell them for a fairly minimal loss, I would have thought.
