I have set them correctly. I can ping the mail server by name and by ip address. From the mail server I can ping the fax server. Finally i have managed to get the Faxmaker to work correctly. The issue was on the exchange server as it appears, though i don't really know what happened to cause the problem. I added the internal ip address of the faxserver to: Organization Configuration >Hub Transport >Global Settings >Transport Settings >Message Delivery Tab 30 seconds after i added the ip, the faxes started getting routed.
